Country Style Basement and Kitchen Remodel

Country Style Basement and Kitchen Remodel

We completed this country style basement finish and kitchen remodel this summer. This home had popcorn ceilings, termite damage, and dark wood work and cabinetry. Our client wanted an update with some country style flare.

Basement Update

We had to remove most of the sheetrock in the basement due to termite damage. The termites had eaten through the rock as well as the framing. We ended up replacing much of the framing. After sheetrock and paint we installed solid knotty pine doors which turned out really well. We also installed baseboard and casing to match.

Below are pictures of the bedroom with a bathroom off the bedroom.

Stair Railing

We replaced the railing with oak newel posts and railing with iron balusters.

Kitchen Updates

The original cabinets were very dark. The cabinet frames were in good shape, so we built new doors and drawer fronts and painted everything a light gray.

Our client wanted us to install the back splash tile in a herringbone pattern that really added some interest and style to the space.
