Financing Your Home Remodel

Our most common feedback lately revolves around financing. Our clients say they would like to have options when it comes to paying for their home remodel and we’re listening! We’re the remodeling experts, not the finance experts, so we’ve partnered with a local bank who works with homeowners like you everyday – Chisholm Trail State Bank. They are standing by and ready to help determine the best financing option for you and your project, whether it’s a kitchen remodel, bathroom update, or whole home renovation.

Chisholm Trail State Bank is a local bank that offers HELOC and other home equity loans all conducted right here in Wichita. We are working with them to provide our clients a trusted loan provider with locations near our showroom. Currently, annual percentage rates are as low as 4% for lines of credit, and 5.25% for fixed rate loans. Here’s a quick look at those rates over the years:

Due to these low interest rates, many people are opting to take out loans or lines of credit instead of removing their investments from the stock market. We recommend meeting with one of the trusted bankers at Chisholm Trail prior to your consultation in order for you to make an informed decision regarding the amount you would like to invest into your home.

OUR PROCESS:

The first part of our process involves a complementary on-site consultation. The owner of the company, Christian, visits your home, discusses the details of your project, takes notes and photos, and asks you questions in order to understand your vision, your expectations, and your budget.

About a week later, Christian will present a proposal to you. Then, we will move into the design and selections phase which can look one of two ways depending on your needs determined during the consultation:

  1. You and Christian work together to make selections for your project. This is for people who have a good vision for their project and feel they do not need much help picking out their selections.
  2. We create a design agreement and our designer, Jessica, helps you design your space. This option is for anyone who struggles envisioning their completed project, is having troubles pinpointing their style, or is worried about being able to piece everything together to create a cohesive space.

Once all selections are made, we will create a construction agreement which includes a progress payment plan. The amount on this contract will be the amount you pay. It will not change unless first approved by you. Typically a payment is due weekly or bi-weekly, but this can vary slightly.

  • As each payment is due, we will invoice you via email.
  • You can easily pay your invoice directly online
  • You will then receive a receipt via email from QuickBooks Payments

Why we bill based on a payment plan:

We’ve all heard the horror stories; you hire a contractor, they require 50% or even 100% up front. You pay them… and never hear from them again (YIKES!). We know that contractors have not always had the best reputation – our desire has always been to change that reputation by building your trust. That’s why we follow a plan of payments based on progress.
